First released in 1956 the new 61 featured a revolutionary new filling mechanism, the capillary system.
There are no moving parts, by unscrewing the barrel and immersing the filler in ink, the pen fills.
During the 1960's Parker changed over to the successful ,system devised for the 45, where the pen
could use either cartridges or ink by simply inserting an aerometric style converter.
The 65 was released in 1969 only made in the UK. It is almost identical to the 61 except for the use of a
wonderful open cropped nib.
